"Keeping the correct together" is what kills teams long term in my opinion, cutting the chord and saying goodbye to guys is the way to stay competitive and out of crappy cap situations.
Trade Trouba for a defense prospect cause he isn't interested in being a Jet long term, let someone else overpay Myers and let Chairot walk and replace him cheaper internally.
Let Tanev walk and replace him internally, he's a bottom 6 winger so easily to be replaced with a cheaper option likely internally with a prospect ready to take a step. Let Brossoit go and Comrie is the backup at less cost. K.Connor and Laine are the most important players to get signed, the rest aren't. There's no way Connor is gonna sign for that, he's gonna be around $6.5-7 million. That's probably about right for Laine if he's only signing for 5 years but with the slump he's in he isn't worth that, his all round game has a long way to go. I'd keep Kulikov and just ride out his contract and hopefully be able to do the same with Perreault. You're missing Andrew Copp, he could be traded for picks or a prospect but he'd be good to keep cause he's a versatile player who can play centre or wing.
Lots of changes I know but trying to keep everyone especially depth players will quickly take a team on the road to ruin. Anyway this is just armchair GM but that's what I'd do and hope they do or something similar.

I believe jets key is development and trade high and not worry about any individual contract, I think roslovic is scheifele 2.0 so I hope they find the right longterm deal for him, and pick the best trade haul between laine and Connor and keep building, I would be all right with losing Myers for nothing and trouba for a decent draft day haul, between morrow and niku I think both can be replaced in next couple of years

Connor is way under-paid, Laine will get closer to $9.5M Trouba is as good as gone Myers is slightly over-paid and no way Winnipeg keeps Myers if Trouba stays.
