What has become abundantly clear is that Zaitsev's 4.5M needs to go. Some how, some way

Brown at 2.1M to play 3/4th line is also a luxury we can no longer afford. He'll go for a draft pick this Summer

a 1 year deal ? the leafs are just going to be back with the same problem in the summer of 2020.

Not with muzzin and marleau off the books. That frees up over 10m in space add another 3m in cap space and the leafs have 13m to give raises to Dermott Johnsson and kapanen.
