What could Stars get for

Description

It is no secret the Stars have been trying to move guys like Ritchie, Honka, and Nichushkin. Mattias Janmark's name has also been thrown around the rumor mill. What could the Stars get for any of those guys in froms of players or draft picks?

Obviously the answer is not much but they still have some value even if it is close to none.

I do not see the Stars bringing Ritchie or Honka back next season which is why those two could be throw in pieces to get a top-6 forward.
So that leads me back to the original question. What could the Stars realistically get for:

Brett Ritchie-

Julius Honka-

Valeri Nichushkin-

Mattias Janmark-

Of the 4 I think Janmark would yield the bigger return. I have my ideas of what the Stars could get, but coming from a fan I may value them higher than others.

Leafs can get you Zaitsev for Honka. Zaitsev would be much more useful for you than Honka in my humble opinion.

Honka is essentially the Stars 7th or 8th defenseman at the moment. I'm not sure how TOR values Zaitsev, but I don't think the Stars want to take that cap hit for another 5 seasons.

Zaitsev is played very poorly with the least good Dman defensively on our team. He is essentially a top-4 Dman but his value has gone down masivelly. He can be 30-40 point Dman with nice shutdown defence on Dallas and would do greatly. He is offensive minded Dman who is destroyed by being stay at home guy of some sorts and he is not good at it. He needs more mobile two-way guy on his left side to be effective. Anybody on left ice on Dallas would fit him as nicely as Dermott on leafs. When he played away from Gardiner he was like another human being. Played differently and I feel strongly that he is going to be surprise for any team that gets him, be it dallas for example. And Honka could be rejuvenated on Leafs. It would imo help both teams. Dallas gets better in D zone and I dont really see much talent on right side of the Dcore in Dallas so that 5yrs he could be a good pickup for you and you will eventually get needed talented RHD that would within 5yrs get into lineup. I believe that both Zaitsev and Honka would be good additions for both teams.

I see what you are saying. I would not be opposed to a potential deal. Dallas does need another top 4 d-man. but like I said that cap hit just seems to be a bit much and a long-term risk. If he did end up on Dallas I think he would be the guy that is taken by Seattle in the expansion draft because I can guarantee Klingberg, Lindell and and Miro will be the 3 D being kept.
