Yeah and give Colorado Jack Hughes. And Boston is totally unwilling to trade their first

THIS. Hard to take this post seriously after seeing the proposals for Duchene and Stone particularly

You're aware that the team with the worst record in the league had an 18.5 percent chance of winning the lottery for the right to the first pick last year?

Either way the pick will be high. Whether it be Hughes, Cozens, Kaapo, or Dach or whoever else, it will be a top 6 pick. You really wanna look bad for that?

That pick is lost already and will be in the top-10 almost assuredly, and most likely a top-5 pick so Colorado will get a very good prospect either way. Good for them, because they have sucked for a long time now (haven't won a playoff round in 11 years, maybe 12 soon; made the playoffs only twice in the last 8 seasons, will they even make it this year?)

For the Sens, the problem is not the Avs getting that pick because they play in the other conference, it's more the missed opportunity to add another high end prospect to Chabot, Tkachuk, Batherson, Brown...

Is it what you meant by "You really wanna look bad for that?", like the team after making those deals?
