No. Montreal wouldn't trade Poehling for Brodin straight up. He is not available. This trade makes no sense,

Lol, your description hurts but it's so true. I like this trade for the Wild, we get some nice prospects coming back in addition to a needed 1st round pick.

You're getting Granlund, a two time (and on pace for three time) consecutive 60+ point RW in addition to your most-needed piece: a LD. This helps the Habs a lot, and you still would have Suzuki in the system.

We don't need another winger. We need LHD defense and that's it. Montreal isn't going to give up Lehkonen + 1st + Poehling to do that. Buffalo wanted Poehling in the ROR trade in the offseason and Bergevin refused to even discuss the possibility with him. There is virtually 0 chance you are prying Poehling from Montreal.

Habs pass on that since Grand only has 1 year left on contract after this season and Brondin 2 years left .... if they had longterm deals maybe

that was before now with how domi and kk play maybe we can let go poehling for a right price
