    I suppose CBJ would reluctantly match. What's the compensation for this signing?, The Oilers are due to have the # 1 pick overall via the lottery when they finish 17th just out of the playoffshappy

    They would have to offer him 8 mil plus, and even that might not get it. Just give up.

    Jones is the not that good and may never be that good to be a top 3 or 5 or 10 Dman money. We should have this discussion in ten years.

    My Question is how does CBJ salary situation look for next year??? do they have the ability to match? Obviously they could make moves throughout the summer to make sure if they match the get under the cap. but this could make life very difficult for CBJ

    Could, but Edmonton should try not to do that considering next offseason they have Draisaitl, and the year after that McDavid. Edmonton would be wise not to go there.
