Most teams pay more than this for them as rentals, let alone signed.

It's unfortunate, but Val and Honka hold very little trade value and are viewed as fillers in all trades at this point. Nill should have moved both of them this off season.

L’Esperance might end up being AHL rookie of the year. Hintz is a solid young NHL talent that just graduated from being one of our top prospects. Honka is a giveaway. He needs an opportunity elsewhere. And I threw in a first. It’s not a junk package if you consider the upside of Hintz and L’Esperance. What I don’t get is why from the Ottawa side I see demand for more than the market is at.

Well A) we have the likely AHL ROY in Batherson, and B) honestly, I had no idea he was having that good of a year, good for him. but he is almost 24..... Could be a Dzingel/Johnsson mould in a couple years, but doesn't hold THAT much value yet.

And well, to be honest, I'm not expecting anything crazy, but when the media brings up packages like Tolvanen++ as rumoured packages, you can't blame us for having the high expectations. These are two first line players in their prime, and Dzingel is a very good 2nd liner just hitting his prime.
