Description

Hear me out, Patrick Laine has been struggling since the start of 2019 and clearly isn't the player everyone thought he was going to be. Toronto can acquire him for a good return and help Winnipeg sign Connors in the offseason.

McDavid to Toronto is a no brainer. He hasn't been helping Edmonton out at all since he was drafted and is clearly the problem in the dressing room. The Leafs trading away both Zaitsev and Brown and a 7th rounder will help free up space for the Cup run.

The NHL is also implementing a new rule stating that your top 6 players are exempt from the salary cap. The Leafs could go even deeper.
