I don't think the Rangers are really looking to "dump" Strome's contract. He's actually been playing fairly well for them since coming over from Edmonton and a 3.1 million cap hit isn't too bad for a team that's not in a crunch.

That being said, it's not a bad offer, although I don't think he'd agree to a sign-and-trade

Not too bad trades, value-wise. However I'd be surprised if WSH accepts that deal, considering how lacking has Nichushkin's performance been. MTL probably don't need Ritchie since they just acquired Weise as a 4th line winger. That NYR trade is also decent.
