I think moving Brannstrom would be a massive mistake!

Haula is 27.. does not fit into the sens rebuild plans, has ONE good season of over 20 goals (last year) he is a 3C/3rd liner.

i would pass on this trade, sens dont realy need Brännström, Erik as they are set on LD with Chabot, Wolanin and Lajoie,

Bellemare, Pierre-Édouard is 33 has ZERO value.

Overall bad trade for OTT.

get the assets you need from Trading Stone, not more player you have to trade....

And Haula is not going to get you much in return, a 2nd rounder maybe a B prospect if lucky, he is a 3C, plenty of thoose in the NHL

Woah now...Bellemare is fantastic with the youth on teams. He is a great guy to have on the roster and plays a solid 4th line role.

then OTT can trade a 4th or 5th rounder for him, not in a package for a top 5 RW in his prime.

He is a rental...you are not getting that return in the 1st place.

When trading for prospects you don’t look at need. Brannstrom imo has more upside than Wolanin and Lajoie. If in the future you do have a log jam at LD, you could easily trade one of them for help at another position. Look at the Kessel trade for example, the leafs already had Nylander and Marner at the RW position, yet they still opted to trade for Kapanen. Now that the Leafs are loaded on the RW, Kapanen will probably be traded for a RD. Also PEB, could easily be flipped for a late round pick, the sens don’t necessarily need to keep him.

Stone and or Duchene are NOT rentals to teams who can pay their next salary (around 8m for Duch, 9m for Stone) unless the players do not want to re-sign with that team, then OTT would trade to a team they would be willing to re-sign to maximize return.

they better trade nylander and keep kap...that would be realy dumb,.

if they cannot get what they need then yes you must get the best you can, but if they can get what they need then get that.

Not really how it works... Unless it is a sign and trade, no team can guarantee that a pending UFA is going to sign with them.
