The Canucks made this trade IRL already. Do you think an Elliot + late pick for Mazanec trade is possible/fair?

I understand they made it IRL but Mazanec isn't going to help you get to the playoffs. At least Elliott can be a capable goalie.

He isnt expected to play in NHL for 3 more years at least.. no matter how good he is, he needs time. Only exception is Hart who is playing greatly

Mazanec is a stopgap until Demko is ready to return. Once Demko is ready Mazanec will be Utica bound. If Elliott can clear waivers I could see the Canucks making a Mazanec for Elliott + late pick trade (if that works).

Yeah I know. The Canucks called him up on an emergency basis with Demko injured and no goalie with an NHL contract in Utica. He was forced into last night's game because Marky tweaked something and got no support from the Canucks defensively.

VAN just needs a stopgap goalie until Demko is back. For the Canucks to add to a Elliott for Mazanec trade would be redundant especially if he can't clear waivers.

Yes. But it was a learning experience for him and every goalie that gets a few days of NHL shots on him would be dominant in OHL or any major junior hockey league.
