Description

Columbus wants to trade panarin and bobrovsky so they can get something rather than nothing if they decide to go somewhere else when they become UFAs.

FLA is interested in both
They cap dumped Bjugstad who has term left at 4 million to make room.
Huberdeau has joined brassard and sheahan on the trade bait for FLA. Columbus wants players like brassard and huberdeau so they can remain somewhat competitive after trading their two pending ufa superstars.
I believe Huberdeau is literally inly on trade bait for FLA to acquire assets like these

Jarmo Kekäläinen should be named GM of the year if this trade happens. Literally getting Huberdeau, Tippett and other pieces for nothing.. Panarin said that he does NOT want to resign during season and that he is a rental.. I believe Bob is that too. Any wise GM would go after Panarin and/or Bob in preseason and not move significant parts of the team and its leaders for two rentals who have bad playoff resume..

Only if you know for a fact that one or both will re-sign. I think the value is there, but I'd wait until July 1st tbh. They have the luxury of being able to offer Panarin less money (no state tax) and I'm not convinced Bobrovsky will have too many competitive suitors

The only way they trade Huberdeau is if extensions for both are already agreed upon plus you won’t get Tippett as Tallon has already said he isn’t trading him for either of them. Remove the 2nd rounder as well

He is not, but I get the point. But he never got out of 1st round for 3yrs.. hopefully he is going to make it this year..

Realistically he's had one ****ty playoffs (the year Chicago got swept). I agree about Bob being a meh playoff goalie at the moment.

That being said, I agree that this is an unbelievable overpayment lol.
