Lucic’s contract is one of the hardest to buy out in the league. I’m an oilers fan, and Ottawa would laugh at this offer. Dzingel can get a 1st on his own, and nobody is touching the lucic contract. If Ottawa has trouble reaching the cap floor they’ll just sign some UFAs or take on 1 year cap dumps, they won’t be taking 4 years of one of the worst contracts in the league

Ottawa can literally sign any player thats ufa to a 4-6m deal for 1 year to hit the floor IF need be or take on contracts like arizona has in datsyuk, hossa.

If they're so desperate to get to the cap floor then trade them 2 or 3 of your one year remaining contracts like Manning, Kassian and Spooner, etc. Those 3 guys add up to over $7 million!
Might cost you some late round picks at most but no one is touching Lucic, Edmonton is stuck with him.
