Duchene will run you 8-9 million range
Nelson is under rated, his range is probably the largest there 6-8 million.
Hayes, I like as a 3C, I don't really view him as a legit 2C. So I won't even bother with that. Personally I view him in the 4 million range, but that's because I cap what I would spend on a 3C.
I just don't think he has the jump in his step to be a real 2C on a contender.

Stone will probably run someone 9-10
The rest of the RW have a large drop off from there.
Nyquist, maybe 5? I don't know, he is 29. Next year he's 30. You are really looking at length of contract there. He hasn't had a year like 14-15 in a while. He barely cracked 20 goals last year, might not crack it this year.

Donskoi maybe 3-4
Connelly probably the same.

I’m a huge Eberle fan. Don’t know if it would make sense but maybe sign Eberle and Nyquist to matching 5.5 deals and have Seguin and Benn as your 2 centremen?

Benn has had hip issues, so I don’t know if that’s why they haven’t put him back at Center. If he could play center then that would work. I don’t think this would happen though. I think Benn stays at LW. I could see Hintz - Seguin- *fast quality UFA*
Benn - *2C trade or signing* - *RW trade or signing*
Cogs - Faksa - Comeau
Guri - Dickinson - Pitlick

I would have to think the Stars want Duchene, but what is the long term outlook. Hintz, Faksa, and Guri will want raises in 2020, while Nuke, Pitlick, and Khudobin drop off. The year after that Heiskanen will get a huge contract with Oleksiak, Johns, Comeau, and Cogs falling off. I believe we are in the clear contract wise.

I think we could afford Duchene and Nyquist, then I don’t think we could afford Eberle. If we went with Nelson (given that Lou doesn’t sign him long term) then we could possibly pull Nelson, Nyquist, and another quality forward. I still don’t see Eberle as a trade argent though. We might have cap space if he hits the market. At that time, I think Robertson might have full time duty, so I’m still not sold.

I guess we will soon see what happens by the TDL. It’s an interesting year for the Stars!
