what do Jets and Rangers fans think

Description
Pick in NYR trade is also top 10 protected. Soon to be/ current young players helps to accelerate the rebuild.

Panarin price is steep, but he is undeniably one of the best talents to hit the rental market, and jets only lose their first if they win the cup (which it's well worth it if that happens). Included Milano to bridge the value gap a bit and give the Jets a long term piece since its a guarantee panarin won't re-sign.

Personally, I think young roster player, top prospect, 1st straight up for a big name rental is too much, so i tried to add some protections to the Jets side by making the first conditional and sending a young player with talent and upside back the other way.

For the rangers trade, Wennberg is underperforming right now, but he excels playing alongside big wingers who shoot the puck a lot (in past with Saad, Hartnell, Foligno, and Jenner; future with Kreider/Kravtsov/Chytil). Change of scenery would likely benefit him as well. Didn't add protections to CBJ 1st since team is getting both Hayes and Zucc, and has plenty of cap space in summer to re-sign.

Am a Rangers fan, kind of think Wennberg is over rated and had a fluke 60 point season and now is on pace for like 30... don’t think if I’m Gorton I trade Zucc and Hayes for that package.

Wennberg is overrated in the sense that he does seem to need to be around certain types of players to perform. I think New York does have those guys though, and he was brilliant down the stretch last season once Vanek and Jenner were put on his wing. Even though his current offensive production is down, he's a still very solid defensive player and does well on the penalty kill. Last 4 seasons wennberg has 157 points in 274 games, Hayes has 171 points in 284 games. Production is fairly similar between the two and one is guaranteed under contract at a lower rate than the other will get in free agency.

I could see CBJ adding a better prospect or pick into deal to seal it (texier or Jonathan davidsson both who are playing very well in Liiga and SHL repsecitvely), it also feels like Milano and Duclair are casualties of misuse by Tortorella (see Karlsson, William). Duclair with an increased role would likely benefit him too.

Yeah Rangers say no. I'd probably say 2 1sts Duclair and like Abramov or Marchenko would get it done

Wennberg is overrated now... but is young and could need change... will not be counted on as the #1 C...
Prefer to work Dman Gavrikov into deal...
And pass on DuClair...
But honestly could work if NY likes/believes Wennberg can 180... hes the right $$ for #2 C on rebuild with younger centers..

So Wennberg, Gavrikov, Winnipeg #1, ( lower than yours most likely) and a 3rd or 4th for Hayes, Zucc... can talk about adding Pionk for another/higher pick... or add S. Milano for Pionk.?
