If thats the return from Boston, hes definitely not going there. Zboril isnt exactly even a B or B+ prospect. Cehlarik is ok. Plus you dont even have that 2nd pick conditional. Ill take just Tolvanen or Vesalainen and a 1st over this anyday

Sources via NHL Network said Pierre Dorion asked for 2 First Round Picks and 2 Grade A prospects. Your offer isn't even close to that. Vaak Studnicka 2019 and 2020 1sts would be his ask.

At the very least, it will be Zboril, Studnicka, 2019 1st, 2020 conditional 1st upon Stone re-signing

I don't even think Dorion would take that even though I think he should settle for less on this if Stone plans on not staying.

Also, division rival so hed ask for more. Apparently, he asked for DeBrusk, one of Heinen/JFK/Donato(back then)/Cehlarik/Frederic and 2 1sts

He can ask for whatever he want's, doesn't mean he will get it. How many playoff bound teams want a 1st line rw and have two firsts and two A propects and have the possibility to resign him? Honest question. I think the market is pretty small, there is a deadline and there are 2nd line rw's available.

I agree Dorion might have to settle. I'm not sure Boston is comfortable moving Studnicka. There will have to be some salary cap work to make Stone fit next year.

I think Debrusk and maybe Frederic might be off the table. I can see Heinen, JFK or Cehlaik and two 1sts, one being conditional.

Cehlik is not a great prospect he is one that Boston is comfortable moving because he isn't as good as everyone else. It's going to be one of Vaak/Debrusk/Studnicka included any way you try to split it.

I can't see any of those three going for a rental and until he signs that's all he is. Sweeney will get someone else (Simmonds, Hayes) for much less or sit tight.

that's the thing Ottawa is not selling Stone as a rental. He would be in an extension deal.

On Boston Cerlarik may not be a fit but in Ottawa where they will be hurting for scorers next year he may do quite well. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him play top 6 wing for Ottawa next year. We both know the Sens won't be attracting any big time UFA's.

That's what Dorion and Sens fans hope for so they can get a bigger return. Who has $8M+ in cap space next year that needs a top 6 RW and has the assets to trade for him that is playoff bound? Not many. But I'd like to hear who you think does.

I don't think you are going to be able to get him when preds and jets can afford an extension then lol.

Exactly, now we are getting somewhere. Two team market for the Sens "desired" return, that's not very good. They are also two teams that have a very good chance of signing him if they DON'T trade for him. Anybody else on Stone's short list?

No it's going to be an outbid war. Tampa, Nashville, and Winnipeg are the teams willing to pay up.

Abramov, Davidsson and a 1st RD pick for Duchene and Bergman. And a conditional 1st RD pick if Matt Duchene signs with Columbus. I'd expect something similar for Stone behaps slightly better prospects. Two firsts, Vaak & JFK and that might be too high, Zboril instead of Vaak. Just saw that Boston may move Urho for the right player.

The 2 prospects Dorion accepted for Duchene were 3rd and 6th round picks
