That Toronto deal might be the worst proposal I've seen on this website.

My post is a bit of an over-reaction, but per Corsica (via daily Faceoff) Zibanejad is the #17 ranked center. For reference #16 is Tyler Seguin. For a slightly worse Seguin, locked up for 3+ more years at a miniscule 5.3 million AAV, you should be hoping for a much larger package.

Hate to disappoint, but none of this happens. Your Kreider deal is the one that WILL NOT happen, as the Predators have every intention of lining Tolvanen and Granlund on Turris' wings next season.

Kulikov for Claesson might be your lone deal that comes to fruition.

Keith Gretzky or whomever the future GM of Edmonton is, needs more than that; and, Shattenkirk isn't waiving his NMC for a deal to Canada, especially with a baby on the way.

While Toronto has a tough decision to make on their cap, they will not get ripped off by a deal like this..Zibanejad or not.

Neither of these deals, at the draft, in the offseason and otherwise, benefit anyone.

Figured but I thought those 2 prospects had a tremendous amount of upside to balance it out and didn't want to be too unfair to TOR. Originally I hadn't added Pionk.

Value wise, is it really that bad? Are we going to compete for the cup within the time Zib is in his prime with us? can the same be said for Kreider, who will want a massive pay raise in a year? or Shatty or Names?

Pretty sure Shatty has a NTC 10 team. With the salary retained and a top 6 winger that can play a middle 6 role well, which is what Pulju projects to be (with some risk) seems fair to me. Only problem here is the term of Names.

How is Toronto getting ripped off? Amazing cap hit for a prime player with decent term, which they need, and assuming he keeps up this pace he is around a 75 ppg player...... IDK how you see that as getting ripped off.

None of these deals will probably happen its just ideas i would have as NYR GM. Kreider trade I think value wise works as much as it is an improbability it seemed like it was a possibility before TDL when Tolvi was on the market for a day. I've seen people say it would never happen this last TDL and it did so you never know as long as the value is there.

For the most part I agree with you, but you seriously think Toronto is the one getting ripped off in that deal?? Oh man.
