Preds need a first line center or equivalent to that. Recently contenders had tend to have one thing in common - they have two 1Cs in the team. Pens with Crosby+Malkin, Caps with Kuznetsov+Backstrom, Bolts with Stammer+Point, Leafs with Matthews+Tavares etc. NSH can't really compare to that with Johansen+Turris. Domi could be a big part of this.

Or Draisaitl, if you want to go hardcore and make this a 3-way trade lol.

I don't think they would move Domi, and we don't really need Subban really - I just liked the idea.

and EDM trade would work on getting another RHD like subban to trade Petry for a LHD.

to much money spent on the back end (price, webber, subban, alzner). plus lucic is a dead weight contract that i dont think we can afford in the future.

If MTL can get Subban back for that, or even something more but of similar effect on the roster for the next few years (no young players who should be getting regular time next 2 seasons), then they really have no need to trade Petry. Just play Petry or Subban with Weber on their off side, or play Weber on the left, and trust they can make it work.
Depending on where the EDM and MTL 1st fall a realistic trade involving the players you have included would be ,MTL 1st and maybe a 3rd or lesser prospect for Nurse, and Lucic and EDM 1st to MTL with nothing going to EDM, no way Petry is included in that unless Alzner goes the other way.
