Green isnt worth a 1st and for a team to take on callahan it would cost tb a 2nd rounder since its just 1 year. I can maybe at best see callahan and a 1st for green but tb could easily drop callahan elsewhere for cheaper and sign some depth defence and bring up cal foote now.

I don't think Green would be worth a 1st either, which is why specifically listed him as being dealt for a prospect, 2nd and 3rd.

Callahan is dealt with a 1st, I used the Grabovski deal to VGK as a comparable. (who was deal for a 1st, a 2nd, and a prospect) He was also making less, was more productive in the previous year, and also only had one year left on his deal.

Tampa has a few defenseman that as UFA's that they wont be able to resign, and they also have to work out a deal with Point, leaving them with very little flexibility. I think they would value a productive defenseman at nearly half his cap hit, and salary relief on top of that.

You're not getting that kind of return for Mike Green, And that Calgary trade is a royal joke. Mantha would easily cost Valamaki not those pieces.

Check out this guys account and all his comments and find me one positive thing he’s ever said. I’ll wait.

In terms of the trade I think that the Calgary trade is somewhat off but that the Tampa bay trade is pretty close. Even if it’s not, it’s cool that you’re basing it on previous trades and valuations. Would be great to get a first round pick after we didn’t get one at the trade deadline!
