Not sure why we need Kassian but I like the idea of getting Pageau.

Just like his size and speed, his contract isn't bad for only one season and he can kill penalties. He's basically everything we wanted from Hayden but can finish. I figured it could provide some cap relief for Edmonton.

No reason to take on JPG for a 4th line role, he would be a 3rd line center and is he that much better the AA?

Kampf has 100% solidified him as the future 4C and maybe even 3C. Entwistle isn't going to play 3C IF he makes the team next year. He would be a winger.

I have mixed feelings on Kassian. Entwistle, if he makes the team, would be a good fit on the 4th line wing as he is a big guy with speed and hands at a much cheaper ELC.

This scenario was pretty much based on Entwistle impressing in camp and making the squad, I doubt he makes the team just to play on the 4th line. I do agree that they might not trust him at center but he seems to be comfortable down the middle.

I'm not sure if Pageau is better than AA but he has less term on his contract, he might play lights out and the Hawks could re-sign him or just let him walk. The cap space could be very helpful.

Kampf is a 4th liner. Every time he has been moved up in the lineup he has not produced nor looked very good. I think he's a great defensive forward but he doesn't have the scoring ability to be on the 3rd line and he's shown that over and over again. If Entwistle is not ready, switch Pageau to the 3rd line center and Kampf can center the 4th line.

Pageau may be having a down year offensively, but he is 56% from the dot and would be an extremely effective penalty killer. He would be a good addition to the 3rd line, though I would prefer Jenner, Danault, or Lowry.

Also, I think Entwistle and Kampf can split time as 4C and 4RW next year. They both have the size and defensive ability, and I would love to see what Entwistle has got at both positions.

His Guelph teammates talk about him being "The Glue" that handles just about everything. He's not the star player, but a really responsible 2-way player that's pretty good at the dot. I would agree that he could pan out in a bottom 6 role.
