Tampa may need cap space but they won't just give away Miller to a division rival.

LOL, maybe my offer is short, but there is no way he gets a first. Having one of his worst seasons on the highest scoring team in the league, over paid and only in the first year of a new contract. 38 points in 62 games, playing with the likes of stamkos, kucherov, and the rest, does not get you a first round pick.

He doesn't play with the likes of them. TB has so much depth they use him mainly as a 3rd liner with Cirelli and Killorn, and that of course has an impact on his numbers.

38 points and playing 12-15 minutes per night is not too bad. Also TB paid Namestnikov+conditional 1st for him, so there's no way they'd be moving him for nothing else than a first. This ofc assuming that TB got McDonagh with Howden+Hajek+1st. Mac and Miller came in the same package.
