What even is that VGK trade? That package wouldn't even get you Miller alone.
Lights and Rocky liked this.

The same Colin Miller that has been a healthy scratch in Vegas on a couple occasions this season in Vegas?
Secondly Miller is making $3.875M and Vegas is going to need to drop some salary in order to resign W. Karlsson & Subban.

He's still an amazing 2nd pair RHD on an amazing contract. Then you also want to throw in the best player in the world that isn't in the NHL. It would cost your 1st this year+Poolparty+something else big.

He is a SOLID 2nd pair Dman on a FAIR contract however his teams upcoming cap situation may dictate his deal is moved to create cap space.
The best player outside of the NHL? He is a 26 yr old winger that hasn't played a minute in the NHL might wanna temper expectations
If you expect to get EDMs 1st (a lottery pick) + Puljujarvi + sOmEthINg elsE BIG you are dreaming. I understand overvaluing players from your fave team while undervaluing players from outside the organization as its a product of exposure but youre assessments are laughable

I just don't think they move him. Likely guys like Eakin/Reaves who can be replaced easily.

VGK isn't even my team lol Gusev is going to shred the NHL when he gets here. All I'm saying that package of a 3rd pairing dman+2nd won't even get you Miller let alone Gusev too.

Fair but the fact Miller has drawn multiple healthy scratches this season leads me to believe he could be moved.

Right... Fabian Brunnstrom, Vadim Shipachyov, Anton Belov, & Anton Lander all say hello

I dont wanna debate whether Gusev is going to be an impact NHL player or not. But has a KHL player outside of Panarin came in and shredded the league?
Miller isnt a top pairing Dman and you seem to forget that there is rationale behind trading him ( Benning + EDM 2019 2nd round pick more than likely gets you Miller)

This is by far my favorite thing people do on this website: trade for a player then talk about how they aren't good haha Like why trade for Gusev if you don't think he'll be great in the NHL? Dadonov is another that came over and killed it. Shipa would have been great if VGK didn't bone him.

Miller is a fantastic #3 dman that could probably jump into top pairing if needed. Benning is not. So the only way VGK makes that trade is if they really really really want that 2nd round pick and our willing to weaken their team for it.

What player did i suggest trading for and then trash?

Gusev? All i said was to temper expectations
Miller? Solid 2nd pair dman but making money that might entice VGK into shipping him out

My favourite thing you've typed to date is "Shipa would have been great if VGK didn't bone him" ... remind me who currently has Gusev's rights
