Not a chance Ottawa does that. Zaitsev is awful and the sens are really high on Duke.

Zaitsev isn't awful just misused. I think in the Sens system he'd get to go back to his rookie days and get PP time and not used so much on the PK. That would really help his game. Not to mention he'd be a really good fit with Chabot.

But if they're high on Duke then that's fine I just picked a name out of a hat.

I really don't think Zaitsev could get PP time in Ottawa. If Brannstrom is ready next year, we'll have Chabot, Wolanin and Brannstrom all fighting for PP time, and I'd give them the opportunity over Zaitsev.


Even if you think Zaitsev is just being misused, Toronto will still need to give up serious assets to get rid of him, because he has no value.

Aside from that little trip he had last night he's looked really good the last couple games.

I think Zaitsev is OK, and OK value for his contract. But maybe if he is misused, maybe other players are too. Replace the coach. Don't see how he misused. When you're on the ice for your 20 minutes....just do your job effectively, nothing to do with the PP in Zaitsev's case.

Zaitsev is not a defensive D but Babs insists on putting him in that situation. That's the point I was making.
