2 aging players on unfavourable deals isn’t going to get you an elite prospect, let alone picks ontop of that

I don’t think buying out Carter was the best option. There still are teams that are willing to get Carter.

Carter is a tough situation. He doesn’t have a NTC but is threatening retirement if traded somewhere he doesn’t want to be. A buyout could be an option, not saying it’s the right one.

Toffoli is 26 lol. How is that aging? Quick can still be an elite goalie especially in the playoffs.

Necas could be a trade option if they want better goaltending with a 30G scorer added.

I don’t expect a lot of people to like the trade. It’s something I feel could be an option for a team like CAR. Quick is still a top goalie in the NHL. He’s better than Bob who is going to be close to 10 million dollars which is ridiculous and laughable.
If a team can get Quick and make the playoffs, watch out. This year is a bad year to judge quick. This team had no desire to win games after November. I’ll take quick over most goalies in a 7 game series.
