You have traded the 2019 1st. That player is probably better than JT Miller in 2 years and cheaper for at least 5 - and doesn't need to be protected in the expansion draft.

The thing I have Ehlers is that if he's not producing points, does he hold value to your team? I think Yamo and a 3rd at most and that's because the deal just doesn't make sense.

Miller is good but I'd rather have our 1st rounder and JP for the future. Also Tampa is kind of in a tight spot for cap because Point's contract is coming up. Maybe we could take advantage of that. I think Johnson might be the other odd man out, depends how much Point gets.

1st and 2nd rounders especially now knowing the expansion draft is coming hold so much value imo. You're getting a solid chance of drafting an NHLer was well as them being exempt from the expansion draft. If you're trading those picks, you better be getting a younger player with term that's worth protecting in 2 years.

Agree on all accounts. I think this team needs at least 2 wingers and I’m a big fan of Ehlers and Miller. Both still young, both and cost controlled long contracts. I do really like Puljujarvi as well but if we can get a bonafide top 6 winger then I think we move him.
