It’s the scouting team that I’d be more worried about, not the GM. Any GM is better than PC trade wise but it’s at the draft table that the scouts have to be better.

I’d want the top defender. That’s the difference in my trade; along with young prospects that can fill some depth positions and probably will be pretty good too (Kakko or Hughes as well). Why trade mcdavid for a round about player that can do the same thing ( pasta or gudreau? Just saying.

Carter is a **** show this year. Brown actually has 20+ goals surprisingly. Kovi well I think the coach has a lot of say in why he didn’t produce more. Hoping kovi can bounce back next year but plan is for the kings to get top 5 pick next year so idk.

Jimmy Murphy on twitter actually proposed a trade of Mcavoy pasta top prospect and 1st round. Not a terrible trade. I’d still want the kings top pick and high prospects with doughty but that’s just me.

The difference is instead of paying 1 player 12.5mil to make your first line really good, you get 2 good players to make your first AND second line really good (for the same 12mil cap hit).
