I wouldn't, Lucic brings something to the table without scoring. Not sure same can be said about Eriksson.

Eriksson has turned into a "defensive specialist" for VAN... solid pk and shutdown guy who can chip in 10 goals

Not sure if that'll translate to the Oilers though. And because of that uncertainty, this move is moot at best or not enough to move down a couple spots. Rather draft a guy we want for sure than take that risk. I think both teams are better off staying put if this is the case.

Yea I get that but think about this. Bouchard and Boqvist are two spots apart. While Bouchard is the better all around defenseman, Boqvist is more dynamic. Had the Oilers been picking at 8 that time I bet they would've drafted Boqvist for his skating ability and ability to score goals from the backend. Bouchard will be good but I believe Boqvist will be Karlsson-lite.

Why would vancouver do this? Lucic has to be protected in the expansion draft which is a waste of a slot and has one extra year on his contact. LE after july 1 this year even more so same time next year will be a lot easier to move than Lucic, also the game is changing to speed, skill, which Lucic severely lacks
