This team makes no sense. Why are you dumping players who are still good for futures (firsts) and signing a UFA for over 10 million?

It's the epitome of treading water and won't get you anywhere productive.

1. Toffoli is too slow for what the team wants to be and still has that kind of value right now. Now he could easily still be on the team next year, but the forward prospect potential seems to be pretty good in the near future with this rebuild to replace him.
2. Right now we should be jumping on the opportunity to dump most of that Carter contract for anything decent at this point.
3. Panarin is just a spicy add. Eberle, Lee, or anyone else could be more realistic
