FLA signs Barrie to an extension, whatever. The idea is Barrie is traded for high draft picks, then thos picks are used to buy a forward. This could happen immediately, or later in the season. As long as it's before the playoffs, mission accomplished

Florida could definitely use a top 4 right shot D, but they’ll probably have to move $$ out (Hoffman possibly) before they can take on Barrie’s $5.5mil against next year’s cap. They’re gonna take a run at signing Bread and Bob, which combined would be close to $20mil per

Like the idea of trading Barrie for some picks but definitely dont like the Nugent Hopkins pickup or think the Oilers do that trade. They are struggling with finding secondary scoring and wont trade a former 1st Overall pick . I dont think Nugent Hopins is the offensive weapon needed for Colorado and have always thought is he too small down the middle. With Colorado's cap space they need to address by a UFA and a trade

Avs may strike out in UFA. Soderberg will be gone soon. Jost is better on wing; so is Kerf. Good wing options will be limited: Toffoli, Kreider. RNH is the best all round forward they could reasonably trade for. I'd like Kreider, but RNH is younger & more attractive to re-sign.
