Why Kessel?
He's slow and not great in his own end.
The Canucks are trying to get younger and faster, Kessel does not fit that bill at all.

I like the idea of targeting Miller but I doubt Tanev gets it done (especially when you consider the LIghtning have to save on cap this offseason).
The Kessel trade is interesting. Not sure Pittsburgh does the trade, but I think he would be a good addition.

True, but Horvat really needs good linemates, and Kessel is A point per game sniper who is available. Just a thought haha.

Thanks for the response!! ?? Jt Miller will definitely be traded this summer imo. He’d be a great target on the cheap.

Sure but he is slow and not really a dynamic player, and he has a ****ty attitude with the media and would not well in Vancouver as he did with TO.
Not to mention you are totally overpaying for him and Maatta.
There are dozens of players I would target before Kessel unless Pitsburg was taking back our trash and/or giving up some quality young players as part of a weaponized cap dump deal.
