That's a lot of cap space. He will definitely look to take on a few cap dumps to get some youth/picks
I see Kulikov and Callahan as possibilities. Maybe help vegas a bit and get a decent LD like Mcnabb. Green to Tampa or Toronto at the TDL seems like a lock at this point. He will probably also retain on a few guys and get picks for them (Dale, ericsson, etc). In the offseason I can see him making serious improvements to get Trouba to come in. At that point they would make a bid for a #1 goaltender (possibly holtby)

absolutely use the cap as leverage to get some pieces. id love mcnabb he has a good game and would help in our own zone tremendously. having steve being so familiar with tampa cant hurt trying to get some nice pieces for taking Callahan or maybe even Johnson off them

With that much cap space? You can't LTIR Franzen and Zetterberg they've to be placed on IR and that count's against the cap. You need to be at least 10% over the cap usage to put players on LTIR.
