If you really want to stay the course, don't make that trade to Anaheim (at least THIS year). Let's look at Percy, Timashov and Holland for one more year. Team has Bernier this upcoming season so there is no need to trade for a backup goalie until his contract is up.

Ummmm Anaheim would literally never talk to TML brain trust ever again. That is the worst I have ever seen.

Percy must clear waivers and will not be remotely close to ANA roster, Holland they already traded away and has proven to be nothing more than a depth piece at best, and Timashov had a great year but let's not pretend it wasn't expected. 90 pts in draft year, 85 in +1 year in about 10 less games. Just a terrible proposal....

Don't take some of their comments so harshly, they trash others and then go do the same trades, I really like the NYI trade but I think it would be nice to get one of their younger middle six players (Nelson, Lee, Stroke etc)

I like the NYI trade as well, islanders have a lot of goalie prospects and it might be easy to grab one of them as well (Sorokin, Soderstrom)

You had me until the Ana. trade . I think deals will be readily avail. When expansion is officially announced .
I can't see the John Gibson trade happening but, Ireally like your N.Y.I. trade.

Of course you would. But NYI would be very mad at TML for asking. JVR's contract is up in a couple years, no one is trading huge futures for him. I doubt NYI even considers the proposal above, never mind asking for more..
