I expect Nashville to do some purging this offseason just so they can try to land duchene, he is their white whale for a few seasons now.

They will move heaven and earth to try to find a way to move on from the failed Turris experiment

Yeah just seems like it'll be hard to move Turris because he's still got five years left on his deal and he's already 29.

Yeah, I could definitely see Duchene in Nashville. Just curious from a Nash perspective, what are all your thoughts on a deal like PK Subban and Ryan Ellis for Patrick Laine and Jacob Trouba? Both teams get a refresh and I think the money works both ways.

So 3 time 30 goal scorer before age 21, defenceman in his prime to Nashville in exchange for a Ellis (a bad contract that hasn't started yet), and a 30 year old defenceman making 9 mil a year who is terrible in the defensive end? Sounds fair to me!

Always nice to get a Jets' fan perspective. From watching him this season, Laine is really all shot, that's it. He's not a great skater, not a great back-checker, so his value is purely in his offense. I think this deal is a win-win for both clubs personally, but I have no horse in this race. I was purely curious as to the thoughts of these team's fans.

laine's becoming a more all-rounded player you can teach a player how to play correctly but u can't teach that shot
