Description

Strengthen the crease with Lehner.

Strengthen the middle of the ice with Point; keep Monahan on the payroll. CGY could add a prospect to the trade, though TB should be tempted to add Gaudreau to Stamkos/Kucherov line while saving around $2.75M in cap space for the next three years.

Improve draft picks.

Leaves a spot or two open at forward and one spot on 3rd D pairing for internal competition.

Keeps Kylington around to include in a package during the season, or before the Seattle expansion.

I think he thinks that just because he said he wasn't freaking out, it means he's not freaking out... Getting back a younger player, who's a right shot, who plays center, who scores more goals while putting up 90+ points in exchange for Gaudreau is dumb, foolish. You're both absolutely right.
