You don’t need to update the picks for the division winners. All of the division winners are already slotted where they will be drafting on draft day. Tampa (27th), Calgary (26th), Washington (25th) and Nashville (24th) are already set in their draft position, due to their regular season finish.

I don't think that's true. My understanding is that the teams that lose in the first and second rounds are arranged in reverse order of their regular-season finish, by points not position. (The four semifinalists get nos. 28 through 31.). Therefore, if Boston loses to Carolina, they would slot in between Washington and Calgary (25th) because they had the third most points during the year. Again, that's my understanding.
