Initial Creation Date: Apr. 28, 2019
Published: Apr. 28, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Six centermen in the lineup so depth stays, balanced lines, 3 euro targets (Andronov - defensive centerman, Kaski - two-way Dman, Mikheyev-speedy two-way goalscorer), 4 scratches. I tried to keep those trades fair.

Oliwer Kaski.. that guy is very good skater and possesion defenceman, if he doesnt pan out, insert Liljegren to Muzzin and slide Stralman to Dermott. If he pans out, just use him. Calle Rosen would not be regular in NHL on Leafs. If Andronov and Mikheyev dont pan out, just insert next in line. We have so much depth

Unfortunately, I don’t see Marleau going anywhere.

Interesting trade for Kadri. I do believe that he might get dealt in the off season. As much as Babcock has made him better, I think he needs a change of scenery.

I think Marleau is gone. But that is very controversial topic and we would need to find out about that later.

With Kadri trade.. Leafs would move from 2nd round to 1st round, move 2.3 mil of cap space and get defensive centerman and Dallas would go to 2nd round of draft but get significant upgrade over Faksa and upgrade on 2C position. Seguin-Kadri-Dellandrea as C core? Looking good!

I wonder if the Leafs are going to have a Russian pipeline now. Babcock's selfish comments may have discouraged any "non stars" signing with the Leafs. UFAs will think they better NHL opportunities elsewhere
