Keep in mind as you're eating these massive contracts that the upgrades in draft picks is pretty minimal. The Bolts are picking 27th. The Wings 2nd is 35th. So you're only moving 8 slots to eat $5 mil for a year

If you think Tampa would throw in a late round pick all the better. But I'm pretty sure these offers will be accepted by the teams, and that was my goal. The 5mm in cap doesn't hurt the wings at all, plus I think Zadina, veleno, and ras need a year in the AHL.

I fully understood what you're going for. But the point of eating another teams bad contract is to improve the team's position. After the first 10 or so draft picks there really isn't a change in value. Jumping 8 spots is not worth it. Either drop the pick you're sending into the 4th or 5th round or get more back
