Eaves has a NTC, spent the season in the AHL, and isn't worth a 6th-round draft pick. Along with the Lucic and Sekera acquisitions by my other local team, the Eaves trade is one of the festering wounds I carry with me every time I look at the Anaheim roster.

Kovalchuk is actually right-handed, even though he plays LW (like Ovechkin, and for the same reasons). But I would love to see him on a line with his fellow countrymen you have on your roster. People say that he was a disappointment this year, but when Blake signed him, he said that if Kovalchuk got 20 goals, he would consider the signing a success. If you extrapolate Kovi's figures out to an 82-game season, he would have equalled that; the only reason he didn't is that Desjardins refused to play him; he was a healthy scratch for a quarter of the year. I'm hoping he gets the real chance he deserves this season.
