Shattenkirk....dude got his name all pumped up one year and everyone thought he was a big fish. But everywhere he went he was a turn over machine. Good luck moving that. He's way to over rated for that 6.6 million cap hit.

I would agree with you if we were talking about his first year in NY. However despite a dip in offensive production, he had a really solid season last year. He’s overpriced and probably overrated but can still be a really effective 2nd pair/PP QB guy. Put him with Morrissey and that be a really good pairing...

I don't think there's any way the Jets could fit Shattenkirk in, maybe B. Smith if there was a bit of salary retention by NY but even then it seems impossible with what Connor, Laine and Copp are gonna cost.

That’s pretty fair. Although Shatty is a much better player then Smith. What if we retained like 25% on Shatty’s contract? Dose that move the needle? Also what is your assessment of the value, cap considerations aside?

Yeah Shattenkirk is a much better player, so at 25% retention he'd be a bit under 5 but even then I'm not sure it fits.
I think the value is about the best they're gonna grab at this point, obviously I'm hoping for more but can't see them getting more then what you did here.
What a kick in the nuts it's gonna be if the best they can get is their own 1st round pick back, what a bust that trade was, I really hope Chevy learned a lesson.. Lol
