Svechnikov gets another year of being waiver exempt from having been on IR all season so he will be proving his game in the AHL next season.

Veleno would have to absolutely astonish the Wings brass to make the team out of camp instead of spending time in the AHL and even if he does make the NHL it wouldn't be as a 2nd line C.

Rasmussen is going down to the AHL. The only reason he was in the NHL this year was because of his Jr team's transfer rights issue. That's not an issue next year.

I don't think the Wings will give up De La Rose and only get back a 3rd round pick in a deal that helps Tampa dump Callahan's contract. I think the return would be much higher on that trade. I do see Daley going to Tampa as part of a Callahan deal and the Wings retaining a significant salary and getting a 2nd round pick back (remember Tampa will pick at the bottom of the draft so a 2nd will be most likely in the high 50's selection wise or worse). But Callahan has a MNTC and a 10 team no trade list--Yzerman would know if the Wings were on it.

There is no way the Wings re-sign Frk. He's been passed by many prospects even with his hard shot.

Datysuk is leveraging the Wings to sign with his hometown KHL team (after leaving St Pete's KHL team).

Giving that much term and money to Panarin would be a mistake, but I think he wants a warm weather team--if media reports are right. So I doubt he signs in Detroit.
