Description

I tried to keep it somewhat realsitic based on what Yzerman said at his introductory presser. On the surface adding Anders Lee looks to fly against that in that adding him would be a but of a splash signing but I think he would make them more than just a little bit better. He has a history of scoring goals and would slot well onto a line with Larkin and Mantha. More importantly, he would free up Swiss Army Knife Bertuzzi to play with Hirose and Athanasiou and bring more offensive support than Luke did (and it frees Luke up to play with/mentor Veleno and Zadina).

The only other real move was to swap stalled prospects with Carolina while both still have a shot to reach their potential.

I love Lee but with the islanders showing signs of life I doubt coming to Detroit is high on his list. the islanders lock their captain up long term id imagine.

It is very likely the Isles re-sign Lee but if he does somehow make it to Free Agency he would be a dang near perfect pickup for the Wings.
