I don't think the LTIR is a no go. This isn't some "wink wink," type of thing. The guy has one of the most prolific concussion histories in the NHL. He ended last season practically unconscious on the ice.

Unless he ends up the same way this year (nobody wants this) I don’t see this being an issue. If he had any sort of concussion symptoms he would not be allowed to play. I think the threat of ahl would be much more realistic.

I don’t see marleau being traded as very realistic either. My point is that it isn’t impossible. He has one year left on his deal and he can still play. This is why I don't See him retiring or going on ltir.

Could you imagine Marleau on ltir then making a miraculous recovery in the last week of the season lol. It would be worth it to watch Bettman have an aneurism lol.

well, the league would investigate. They investigated Hossa. I just think that the league has two very different reactions to Backes saying, "I have post concussion symptoms," which is near impossible to disprove, and Marleau saying, "ummm, i'm allergic to my gear?"

Marleau is the same age as me and I haven’t been roughed around the nhl for the past 20+ years. I think markeau is the one you would have a hard time convincing.
