I have a couple questions for you guys reading this:

1. Who is Tim Soderlund and will he make the team out of camp?

2. Provided we select Turcotte will he make the team out of camp?

3. Is Puljujarvi better than Kubalik or Hayden?

4. Is Turcotte a physical player at all?

Turcotte is a 2-way player and a center. Not a HUGE center, but big enough. He's a Chicago guy. Grew Up in the Chicago suburbs and played for Chicago Mission. He's clearly a VERY good player. You have to be to a good player just to be mentioned as being drafted #3OA. With that said...Actually taking him with the #3 pick...seems like a bit of a reach. I think his ties to CHI and Bowman's history of drafting CHI players (Schmaltz, Hino, Hartman, many more) is taking affect more than it probably should. FOR THE RECORD - I WOULD LOVE TO DRAFT TURCOTTE! But that means trade down for additional assets. He probably will NOT make the team this year. He needs to develop more both physically and his overall game, but I don't think it'll take more than a year. WIS is a good place for him next year...Especially with Cole going there too! Winning breads winning. Have them succeed together as badgers, them bring them both to the NHL for whatever team drafts them. Just my thoughts.

***EDIT*** forgot to address Pool Party. I'm more than willing to trade for him, but I'm not giving up serious assets for him. I'm not even sure I want to give up Perlini, but there are other ways to help out EDM...Manning/Ganger? Maybe them and guys like Sikura/Forsling? The reason why my approach is Cap and lesser prospects is because I think teams like AZ and EDM do an extremely poor job of developing talent. Pool Party MIGHT be...beyond saving, but CHI does a good job of developing talent (many other teams out there do too!) and might be able to turn his situation around.

I'm going to go watch Alex Turcotte's highlights. Thanks for your comment! I think we agree that it is more likely than not that Turcotte is a Chicago Blackhawk by the end of June.

1. Speedy forward with good puck skills and good on the forecheck. And unless he sets the world on fire in training camp and preseason he will probably start in Rockford.

2. Turcotte is already committed to Wisconsin

3. Yes

4. Don’t know. Lol

IDK about that. It depends on what that trade down looks like. I wouldn't really be happy if he was drafted #3OA. If you can trade down to #4/5/6...what else are you getting for that? Otherwise my pick is Cozens for the #3OA straight up...OR Byram if an existing Hawks D-prospect gets dealt.
