forward group looks pretty good. That said I can't really wrap my head around the D. the ghost of Buff on the top pair, and his off side no less? Carlson over Jones? Faulk playing over McAvoy? If you're going to go offensive, puck moving D on the third pair, I think Krug would be a better option than Ghost. he's just the better player at this point.

Also, Slavin may not seem american, but he was born in Colorado. kick Buff the hell out of there and put Slavin on the top pair.

Quin Hughes is not even to that D group right now. I will argue that i would put pavelski, Keller or Collin white in for jack Hughes. Until they prove they belong with the big boys.

Parise is the heart and soul of USA hockey, would probably be the captain. cant see him not being on the team even as just a 4th liner or a scratch. that being said i agree with everything else you said here, Tkachuck deserves to be there too
