Babcock loves Glendening, who is fantastic on the PK, but maybe you're right. Perhaps taking back Zaitsev's contract w/ Toronto picking up some of the tab might help make something like that work.

The Trouba trade is pretty bad for the Jets, Chevy can do better elsewhere. And even if Trouba was willing to take a hometown discount from Detroit. He's still not taking any thing less then 7 x 7.5 to sign with them.. Trouba will get at least 1 year $6.5 million on salary arbitration after putting up a 50 point season. No way he signs that low even if he comes home.

Agreed. If that is the return we get for Trouba we are better off keeping him for a cup run this year.
I’ve seen better returns at the TDL

Appreciate the feedback...adjusted return and Trouba's contract. Closer to realistic?

I’m thinking it would be one of Hronek or Veleno plus 19’ 2nd at least

Tampa is not using Barre-Boulet as sweetener for another team to take Callahan final years cap hit. They'll much rather buy him out if nobody bites than throw a great prospect out of the window for one year of cap relief
