Drouin is 10 times the player Kerfoot is. Attitude is Drouins problem. He can't be the go to guy on a team as he showed in Montreal. On this Avs team he just has to focus on playing hockey and not leading a team which is where you get your best out of the player.

Attitude and effort is Drouins problem. He pouts, cant play defence, and is one dimensional "offensive talent" and he didnt even outscore Carl Soderberg lsat year despite being an ice time and PP leader for Montreal. Drouin is the better talent no question but when it comes to offence, while brining nothing else than that....he is just a marginal upgrade over Kerfoot. Past 2 years Drouin 99pts in158pts Kerfoot 85pts in 157gms. You are getting 6-8 more points a season with Drouin.

Barrie outscores Drouin and plays Top 4 Defence, In no way would a flawed inconsistent player like Drouin get a guy like Barrie

Drouin vs. Kerfoot

Gotta do your research before you make wild claims about a player being 10 times better than another. He's marginally better, at best, and is in no way worth Tyson Barrie. Barrie was a huge reason why we made it to the playoffs and why we made it as far as we did. Furthermore, if the guy has an attitude problem, why would we want him? Seem to remember the Avs shipping off another player with an attitude problem...*cough* *cough* Duchene. Team's better off as is, and Barrie is a huge reason for that.

I'm all for going after Drouin. It won't cost Barrie though. I look at what Chicago did this year reuniting Strome and Debrincat. I watch a lot of Coyotes hockey, and Dylan Strome just looked totally out of place at the NHL level. Reuniting him with Debrincat arguably saved his career. I think you could see an improved attitude and effort from him if you reunite him with MacKinnon. It's worth a shot, especially if you miss out on Panarin or Skinner. The Avs can afford his cap hit.
