Description

What if we save all our cap space this year and hold it for this year? Shell out extensions for Strome/DeBrincat and sign a top 4 LD man in Muzzin/Brodie. Bring in Boqvist, Mitchell, and Barrett and whoever we draft at 3.

2 moves I made in 2019:
1. Montreal deal. Is Gus and Krys enough for Drouin. Not sure if the value is fair but Montreal is always looking for D.
2. Sign Wayne Simmonds to a short-term non expensive deal. Has had a few rough seasons but has that grit to help a contender (which hopefully the Hawks can get back to, if not next year then the following year)

I clearly stated that Simmonds would bring more grit which is what this team could use more of. I don't think a 3yr/3.75m per would be an ugly deal

Simmonds is a 4th liner and if the team needed "gritt" they can bring up Martinsen back. Simmonds adds nothing at this point he was a useless for the Preds
