I'm not trying to be smart, but with his NMC I assume Lucic himself would be the one to say no since Detroit doesn't have mcjesus. Other wise I would take it if Edmonton retained 2 mil on the deal. Those NMC are rough on teams.

for EDM to get rid of Lucic this year it will cost them their 2019 first, Lucic can not play in the NHL anymore, has a buyout proof contract, with 4 year left at 6m.
