Assuming a less than $83 million Salary Cap, based on a Friedman comment earlier this year

There's a few injury-prone players, like Bogosian & Sutter, so there will be opportunities here for some of the AHLers. Not the best plan, but this roster should be able to squeak into the playoffs. The followingvyear this will be a much better team.

So the Canucks have to retain on Eriksson and sutter but take Lucic who has a longer contract and a NMC in exchange, and all we get is a 3rd and junk prospects?

Point taken, I changed it and thrown in players who aren't signing with either team.

Although, I would not call Cave or Marino junk prospects. Cave played 20 or more NHL games with 2 NHL teams last year. He is no longer a prospect, really.

Marino is actually a decent RHD prospect, but played behind Adam Fox, who will be a star with the Rangers. Marino has been compared to Jeff Petry in Oilers circles. His coach counts on him in important defensive situations, so he will never put up big stats at Harvard.

I hope he signs with the Oilers next year.
