Description

First trade with CGY is possible since CGY failed with the signing of Neal and would love to get rid if his contract so they have money for Tkachuk and possibly a free agent to replace Neal. Mtl on the other hand does send back alzner contract but its 1M less per year and has 1 year less remaining also. Mtl also give the rights to 2 cheap RFA.

I believe the second trade is also possible since colorado has a lot of free cap room and would love to add a top 6 forward. Drouin also had crazy years in the juniors with mackinon and we saw in chicago that junior Chemistry can continue on in the NHL. COL could now keep Rantanen and Langdeskog together and have Mac and Drouin together. They also get a possible back up since they lost varlamov.
This trade is only done if MTL gets some kind of confirmation that Duchene would sign in MTL.

If he wants the 4th overall it's for Byram or there is no reason to trade Drouin + our 1st for whoever they will pick at #4

I like this Calgary trade. I don't know what happened to James Neal. He was great with Vegas. But I think Mtl will have to retain at least $1M of Alzner salary to get it done. Maybe more.
